Brewers Row
Brewers Row describes a stretch of Murray Street in Port Moody, near Rocky Point Park, which is home to several craft breweries.
The area was once home to several small to mid sized industrial businesses involved in manufacturing and services, including boat manufacturing and wholesale distribution. Unfortunately, as those companies found success, many of them outgrew their modest facilities, and as Metro Vancouver continued to grow, access and distribution around the region became more difficult.
As the light industry moved out, Murray Street had a number of vacant properties, looking for some new uses, and the burgeoning Craft Beer industry arrived in Port Moody with Yellow Dog Brewing opening first ,followed by Moody Ales, Parkside, Twin Sails, Bakery Brewing (now Brave) and Rewind Beer Co. The 'row' also includes a distillery, Rocky Point Spirits.
The businesses are known for how they all work together and support each other, and how they have changed the dynamics of an area once dark and desolate into an area teaming with people and activity.
Brewers Row is known throughout the region, and further, and is a popular destination for groups to come and spend time visiting multiple breweries and dining from the many food trucks along the strip.
