Welcome to PoMoHistory.org !

We are trying to create a 'people driven' history of Port Moody, mainly because we think Port Moody is a great place, with some amazing history, but that much of it isn't being captured, and what is is often limited scope.

We know there are lots of great stories out there and we welcome everyone to contribute your stories

The site is a Wiki which everyone is likely familiar with, and will always be a 'live site' with information being added as things change or new contributions are made.

The intent is to organize the site into general categories of PEOPLE, PLACES and THINGS.

Hopefully this site can be where the answer to those questions we all hear every day ... 'What ever happened to...' , 'What was the old building on Murray Street that made TVs ?' , 'When did the Kyle Centre open ?' ...

There's a lot of information out there, hopefully some of what is here is of value and interesting.

Let's keep it fun... but TRUE please.

Anything posted that is deemed to be defamatory, demeaning, insulting, etc. will be edited or removed... there's no lawyers here and we don't want there to have to be.
