Golden Spike Days

Golden Spike Days is an annual festival held on and around July 1st.

The festival commemorates the completion of the Trans Canada Railway - where Port Moody was the Western Terminus for the first passenger train that travelled across the country, arriving on July 4, 1886.

The first Golden Spike Days festival was held in 1976.

Over the years the event has included the 'Last Spike Saloon', a favorite with the locals ! , a softball tournament, volleyball, hand car races, and more.

Currently the festival includes many local and travelling vendors, food, music and family oriented activities.

The festival is held at Rocky Point Park.
